This lovely bride is my step-dad’s niece which makes her my cousin 
She and her handsome man in uniform were wed August 14th. I really enjoyed the chance to photograph for family and it was pretty fun having my mom, step-dad and little brother at a wedding I was shooting. Now I have all kinds of blackmail worthy photos of them dancing, LOL! Here are my favorite shots from their super fun day.

My brother Mike was home from college in Vermont a few weeks back and introduced the family to his girlfriend Mindy. Understand that bringing a girl to meet the “family ” is a big deal, why?? Because Mike has SIX older sisters…and we have been known to be a little unkind to girls that don’t measure up Mindy, however has nothing to fear a fun “anytime” session seemed in order. I was all for it when Amber suggested we shoot at Notre Dame where she attends and Derek works at the library. I always love the chance to photograph somewhere new! These two are so cute together and so relaxed around each other, I am really looking forward to their eco-friendly wedding at Meijer Gardens this October
